"Excellent becomes the norm"

The instructional ski holiday – SB Ski has its own ski school with a dedicated team of fully qualified, experienced ski instructors. Ski lessons are tailored for adults and children (from aged 5 years) and designed for all ability levels – from complete beginners to seasoned experts.
The instructional ski holiday price includes 5 x 2 hour group lessons (usually taken from Sunday through to Thursday) for guests staying from Saturday to Saturday.
For guests on short breaks:
Ski lessons are the ideal way to build confidence, develop tactical and technical skills and to explore the vast number of pistes. SB Ski groups are carefully and thoughtfully arranged to reflect technical ability and confidence levels, so everyone can ski with guests of similar ability.
Children of 14 years and under will always take their lessons at the same time as at least one of their parents. On weeks when there are only 1 or 2 children (aged under 15) or adults of the same level in resort, SB Ski offers a private 1 hour lesson for 5 days, replacing the 2 hour group lesson. These may take place at lunch time.
Megève has a huge 445km of skiing to explore, with a wide variety of interlinked and tree-lined pistes. There’s something for everyone and instructors will ensure groups ski as much of the resort as possible (depending on level). The ski school is set up around easily accessible and safe meeting points, so friends and families can be quickly reunited at the start and finish of lessons.
Lessons times can be subject to change (if required for operational or weather reasons) but are normally scheduled to start at 09.30, 11.40 and 13.40. (For guests on short break holidays, lesson timings will be confirmed on booking as this will vary according to arrival day). The ski week starts on a Sunday for 5 days and includes a video analysis session – a great way to improve ski technique.
Our fully qualified instructors are selected based on experience and for their ‘people’ and communication skills. Lessons are fun but also equip you with the skills to develop and improve.
Private lessons are not included in the instructional ski holiday price, but can be arranged at an extra cost (paid in resort). Lessons can be booked during the afternoons, or on a Friday and Saturday, subject to availability. This is a great way to work on specifics, or gain bigger improvements during your stay.
Private lessons can be taken individually, or by small groups of a similar ability; they are also ideal for parents who may want a leisurely afternoon off whilst the children have fun with an instructor.

We value our guests’ opinions about our ski programme and appreciate your feedback. This plays an important part in being able to continuously develop our service.
Group ski lessons are for 2 hours each day from Sunday to Thursday (for one week holidays from Saturday to Saturday) or from Sunday to Tuesday (for Sunday to Wednesday short breaks) and are included in the cost of your holiday. As such it is not possible to make any deduction for ski lessons which are not taken during the holiday.
The lessons are scheduled to start at 09.30 or 11.40 and we will make every effort to accommodate families and friends into lessons at the same times. However sometimes, logistically, it is not possible to arrange this and to maintain our high quality of instruction, so would ask for your understanding and co-operation. We will of course, make sure that young children have lessons at the same time as at least one parent/other family member. Lessons start and finish in the same location (unless pre-arranged or in exceptional circumstances). Lesson groups and times are advised on arrival day.
When you book, we ask you to carefully consider and to state your realistic ski level on the Booking Form, so that we can place you accurately into the most appropriate ski lesson group. We fully understand that factors such as ski experience, age, level of fitness will affect your ski ability. We will always adjust the groups after (or sometimes) during the first lesson to ensure that all guests can gain maximum enjoyment and benefit from the lessons. Occasionally the re-adjustment of a guest’s ski level may leave just 1 or 2 guests at a level which cannot be incorporated into another group. In this instance we reserve the right to replace the 2 hour group lesson with a one hour private lesson (which may take place at lunchtime after the finish of the group ski lessons)
In some weeks, we may have only 1 or 2 guests who are beginners and for maximum benefit to the guest/s, we will offer an intensive one hour private lesson, in lieu of the group ski lesson for part of or the whole week. Again this may take place after the finish of the group lessons.
Outside school holidays, when we have only I or 2 children in the chalet, depending on their ski level, we may include them in an adult ski group.
Our ultimate aim, when applying any or all of the above criteria, is to ensure that our ski lessons offer the maximum enjoyment, safety and benefit to all our guests.
