Once again, Megève is hosting a stage of the Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont-Blanc dog-sledding race. The 10-stage international race takes place from January 12th to 23rd and covers 1,000 kilometres across the Alps.

Stage 4, on 16th January, sees the mushers leave from the centre of Megève at around 1.30pm and finish at Cote 2000 from around 3.45pm onwards.

‘Challenge Megève’ is the highlight of Stage 4.  Visitors get the opportunity to meet the mushers and get close to the 400 dogs that pull the sleds.

The first ever Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc race took place in January 2005. More than just a sporting competition, this is an amazing adventure that promotes the original sport with the focus on preserving nature and the environment.
